Once again, history shows congressional democrats trying to defeat our troops on the battle field and give victory to our enemies, who cannot defeat us on the battle field . This time, the democrat-controlled House of Representatives passed their anti-war bill by a lousy SIX votes and, yesterday, the democrat-controlled Senate passed its anti-war bill by a lousy TWO votes.

President Bush will appropriately veto this bill as it is totally unconstitutional because it violates the "separation of powers" doctrine made explicit in our Constitution. Only the president can commit or withdraw U.S. troops, period. Only the president can dictate battle tactics, targets and the displacement of troops. Congress has only TWO war power authorities: (1) Declare war (2) Fund war....that's it!!!!

Where have we seen the democrats screw over our troops before? Vietnam!!!
Although we militarily defeated communist north vietnam troops in every battle engagement and we had total air dominance over all of vietnam, it was congressional democrats who took victory away from our troops and gave it to our communist enemies.

In Nicaruaga, we watched congressional democrats make total asses out of themselves by pulling funding and support for the contras who were waging a successful military campaign against WHO....you guessed it ...communist. Communist Danny Ortega was building a 100,000 man army in tiny Nicaragua and was allowing soviet nuke subs to port there and was in the process of building huge runways that would accommodate soviet nuclear bombers. This would open up a second nuclear strike advantage(Cuba being number one) for the communist on our southern flank that would allow nuke missles to hit us in 10 minutes instead of the 30 to 40 minute warning we would get otherwise.

Why do democrats always side with our enemies, screw over our troops, and keep this country at a constant disadvantage against its enemies.

ANd he did veto it, I can't believe the Dems really even tried. They promised a lot they couldnt acomplish when they took over the houses.
This was just a gesture, and a way to make bush look bad infront of the nation.
Still it makes you wonder what they really care about, their political power or the welfare of the country?[/i]
