Have you heard of the three new dances that were introduced this year?

Hillary Hustle: A dance that never gained much popularity, as the ladies were unable to find any men who were willing to accompany them on the dance floor. Hillary Hustlers have now (reluctantly) agreed to join in the Obama Two-Step. In spite of all their talk of unity, steel-toed dance shoes are recommended at this year’s Democratic Party convention.

Obama Two-Step: The latest dance craze to sweep the nation. It’s fun and easy! Just lurch to the right whenever you feel the need to do so. Don’t worry about your partner. She’s obliged to obediently follow along as you zig-zag erratically across the dance floor. That’s why she’s called your base – because she’s basically being taken for granted.

McCain Shuffle: The latest dance craze to sweep the nation. It’s fun and easy! Just grasp your walker firmly in both hands, tentatively slide one foot forward and then the other. Look over your shoulder to verify that you are still perfectly in line with your puppet master – er – dance instructor, George Bush. Repeat. Wake up partner as necessary.

There were actually four new dances introduced this year.

Ron Paul Romp: The latest dance craze to sweep the nation. It’s fun and easy! The tallest person at the dance club gets to be Ron Paul. Everybody else forms a line (the liberty line) and Paul barks orders at them: “The Constitution sez stand on one foot!” “The Constitution sez flap yer elbows like a chicken!” If Paul issues an order that is not preceded by “the Constitution sez…,” anybody who follows that order must stick their head in a bucket of ice water. More fun than the McCain Shuffle and easier on one’s toes than the Obama Two-Step! Not recommended for the unquestioningly obedient or anybody with a head cold.
