Post subject: Hammer the Dems!
This financial crisis is giving McCain and the republican party a golden opportunity to show the country how socialist policies, which are supported by democrats, don't work. It gives them a chance to show how corrupt the democrat party is. It gives them a chance to crush Barack Obama's candidacy, but what is our candidate doing? He's out there agreeing with them, saying that greed on wall street is to blame, now I know that it is partly to blame, but the main reason this has happened is the socialist policy of the community reinvestment act of 1977, implemented by Democrat Jimmy Carter, revised and expanded by Democrat Bill Clinton in 1995. This act has forced banks to grant low income mortgages with little or no money down to people that they knew would not be able to pay it back. We're hearing from the media and democrats that this all happened because of George Bush's deregulation of wall street and McCain is echoing that lie. In fact the Bush administration called for regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2003, but DEMOCRATS opposed that regulation. McCain could also be hammering the fact that according to the washington post, Barack Obama is taking "advice on mortgage and housing policy" from the former Chief Executive of Fannie Mae, Franklin Raines who stepped down amidst a $6.3 billion accounting scandal. Now remember the federal government just took over Fannie Mae, a failed company run by the aforementioned Raines who left the company with over $50 million in payments. Speaking of Fannie Mae, the top 5 recipients of donations from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to their political campaigns from '89 to '08 are 1)Democrat Chris Dodd 2)Democrat John Kerry 3) Democrat Barack Obama, maybe McCain should bring that to light.
Why is John McCain not out there hammering the Democrats on these issues. Senator McCain says "now is not the time to affix blame", yes Senator, it is time to affix blame, right on the foreheads of democrats and Barack Obama if you want to win this election, remember just in case you forgot, you are running against the democrats!

Post subject: Kettle calling the pot black
Looks like a case of the kettle calling the pot black? Who is to blame for this mess ? It is the Republicans who have fed the lions and are now running away when it is coming back to bite . During the past eight years a free reign has been given to investment banks to do as they wish and they simply cleaned up the whole country . No doubt , McCain is keeping his mouth shut. If he utters even a single word , he can say goodbye to his campaign and treat his Presidential dreams as good as over.

Post subject: It is a question of ideology
One cannot blame either Democrats or Republicans. It is all about ideology . We are a capitalist nation by choice . When socialist nations like Russia collapsed we all rejoiced . I remember everyone saying that “see ,I told you so”. The same smug faces are going red trying to explain why dyed in wool capitalists are rushing to help the moneybags and filling their pockets with tax payer money. This is blatantly socialist mindset. Let the private enterprises including banks fend for themselves and live or die according to the market forces. This only exposes the chinks in our ideology.

Post subject: Checks and Balances
Balance . That’s what we require . The world is no longer divided into communists and capitalists. It is more a question of horses for courses. In the first instance we should never have gone overboard with our capitalist free for all policy. We seem to forget Enron and Arthur Anderson. We seem to have just come out of their shadows and hit by another demon called greed. It is all unbridled greed which has brought grief to all of us. Had there been some checks and balances , this would never have happened. Let’s not play politics over this sad state of affairs.

Post subject: Surprise!
I was born and had lived their for 27 years in the USSR, and I can tell you professionally - you, rightwingers, resemble the late Soviets much closer than the democrats in more ways than one.
