Heard it, saw it and viewed the TV movie years ago. Sorry, I feel bad for what happened but when you are living with WILD animals what did you expect? You cannot predict wild animals- ask Jane Goodall or anyone else scientifically trained to live with them. They can and will turn for reasons perhaps only beknownst to them.

Its a tragic lesson people (include the Vegas boys) have got to learn.

HOLY SMOKES?! THE TAPE SURFACED?! Where did it come from? The only known copies are with his friend and with the Alaska coroner's office.

I read somewhere on a grizzly bear website that there is no public copies of the tape, but there are phony ones floating around

I enjoyed the documentary but Tim was a fool. Twelve years in the woods and he didn't realize that you can't keep food inside your tent when you are near bears???
