| I think we are winning slightly. What do you think it will take to make sure we win this war on terror? Do we need all these new and improved laws to win? I don't think we need some of the new laws to win. |

| Nogard, I believe we are winning. There has been no domestic attacks in the United States since 9/11. Just recently we've caught individuals who wanted to blow up the Sears tower. |

| Julian4239, we might of stop them people from going after the Sears tower, but they sad news is, they was Americans and they didn't have any terrorist ties. That according to the news. If the terrorist want to attack America they will. Do you think they will go and call each other knowing we are listing to them? If they do, they are really dumb. But I pray every night that we don't get attacked here in America. I'm glad we are stopping these terrorist from harming us here in America. The sad thing is, we can't tell who's a terrorist and who's not. |

Winning the war on terror really can only be accomplished by having US Client democracies in the Mid East which would require overthrows of the governments of Iran, Sudan, Syria, etc. Not likely. At best, it can be nullified to a reasonable level to reduce attacks.
And terrorists do not have to attack the US to cause problems for it. If they target USA assets in foreign territories than can cause all kinds of grief. This is why they bomb embassies in unstable countries. |

True, they weren't terrorists tied to Al Queda, to the best our knowledge. However, we have stopped terrorism in Las Angeles as we just undisclosed information on the last hijack attempt to destroy another tower.
I'm with you, the borders are not secure enough. I think we've advanced much in our anti-terrorism efforts, but probably not enough. |

| The issue with terrorism is that it has been going on for forty odd years and was allowed to get out of control |

Actually, ties to Al Qaeda were found... all members of the Sears Tower crew were found to have pledged allegiance to Al Qaeda. |

Terrorism has been in this world a LOT longer than 40 years! Too many to count, I'm sure... It's just gotten more sophisticated. |

| You are correct. I meant the forty years I was referring to refers to the formation of the Israeli state and the installation of the Shah of Iran which lead to the formation of terrorist organizations |
