Well, we heard the liberal agenda. What's the conservative agenda? What are the conservatives out there trying to accomplisht?

I personally think it looks like along the lines of 'taking over the world'....sure does. Oh and taking over all the oil fields, which equates to world domination.

I think the conservative agenda is to hold onto family values, stop abortion, and to support are troops. I think that alot of liberals try to say that conservatives are trying to put their religion on them, but conservatives really just want to protect the family.

Right now the conservative agenda focuses heavily on national security.

1)Secure the Borders.
2)Do something about illegal workers.
3)Tighten up security around national monuments.

I think that after 9/11, a lot has changed...before it was most abortion this and that. And gun laws this and that. Now it's heavily focused on national security and anti-terrorism.

I disagree with the whole "family values" crap. I very strongly believe that the definition of family should be widened. And, that abortion should be legal to keep women alive and not send us back to the 1950s in this country.!

The conservative agenda also has a laissez faire type of approach to government regulation on businesses. Lower taxes and fewer business restrictions help the economy.

I'm glad we're not in a socialist world like Western Europe where there's rapid unemployment.

I'm not a conservative, but even I think this is ridiculous and alarmist. You're not winning any points or persuading anyone with cheap pot shots at the other side.

Absolutely agreed, montage. There's no use in demonizing the other side. We all have to work with each other and having a complete lack of understanding won't accomplish anything but isolating yourself.

Yeah except that the liberal side is so used to recieving cheap pot shots that it seems that some turn about is totally fair. I'm still not sure what the political leanings of this site really are but I'll say this right now... The neoconservatives have been completely and totally non-civil from their end of the debate and I'm d&@n sick of it.

I can't say that I disagree with montage but after being bashed unfairly for years and years a little turn about seems to me to MORE than fair play.

I mean I really consider anyone who is republican either ignorant or wicked selfish. Sorry, it's not personal repubs but it is truly how I feel about you.

Let's see...you whine about uncivil behavior and the proceed to call republicans, "wicked, ignorant & selfish." Need to go look up the word "hypocrisy." While you're at, please see if you can also find a definition for the word "neo-conservative." I'm a conservative and I don't know any neoconservatives. For example, all the leaderhsip serving in the Bush admin have been conservative for more than three decades...nothing "neo" about them. All the conservative principles that are espoused today and the very same principles that were espoused in the 1950s...nothing "neo" about that. Who the hell is a "neo-conservative"???? Why must libs bastardize the english language for their slogans???

Whoever said that unemployment is rampant in Western Euroupe? You are an idiot unless you provide prrof. For instance, in Sweden (a very much so Scial Democracy) they have a high standard of living and an incredibly LOW unemployment rate.

Sweden's GDP usually runs between 2.5% and 2.7%...low numbers and typical for socialist countries burdened with too much gov't spending and rampant social programs. Per capita income is $29,800 and their unemployment rate typically runs between 5% and 7.8%.

The above economic numbers(with the exception of the 5% unemployment) would be unacceptable for this nation, economically and politically.

The Republican Party has lost it's way. Hijacked by the neo-con faction. Sold a bill of goods. Now we are feeling the consequences. It's time for actual conservatives to make themselves heard. Remind people of what Republicans are supposed to stand for.
