Is it about oil? The tragedy in Darfur is SO much worse yet we do nothing about it???

It's a darn shame on what's going on with Darfur. For us, it's an age old debate that centers around political realism vs. idealism. Can we be the policemen of the world? Or, should we only involve ourselves if there's a clear and present danger to United States interests?
I believe most politicians (Democrat and Republicans) are bent to the realism side. I don't think many politicians could side with idealism.

There is already a plan underway where Darufr will soon get all the attention it deserves through a UN coalition force, which means it's going to be more humanitarian than oil alone, because the oil will get its way into the market whether the people in Darufr who seem to be its rightful owners get their fair share or not.
