Today the Democrats took over the House and Senate, very convincingly. Your thoughts on why they took over so aggressively. Was it the Iraq War that was the sole issue?

The Republicans have done the crucial job of fighting terror and correcting the unnecessary power imbalance that would have been created in the ME. At the same time if there had been a threat from WMD that had been thwarted. At the end of their term, they need a long break; otherwise, the system will be a tired one. So, they said, the Democrats get their day in the sun.

Well, Nancy Pelosi is the head honcho. I'll bet she will be demonized for a long time. Did you know that she has a 24% approval rating already?

I believe the war in Iraq is the driving force. I also believe the public relations of the current administration with regard to the war is the more specific issue. However, I do realize that PR for a war is near-impossible. Let's be realistic here, it's just not possible to defend a war to any effective degree, so why try? I see that... It's just such an unpopular war, even as wars go!
