Post subject: Dumb or stupid law?
What's the dumbest law you ever heard of past or present?
This one stupid law. It's still in the law books but it's not a hard law that must be followed. The law is "In Ohio you can fish for whales on Sunday." Man today's Sunday and I was going to go fishing for whales.

Most of these "dumb laws" are urban legends. If you actually look at the context of the law, they usually make more sense. For example, "it's illegal to leash a camel to a Fire Hydrant on Fridays" actually might refer to a law that makes it illegal to leash any animal to any fire hydrant at any time. Technically true but not "dumb" as it sounds.
