| Where are the conservatives in this forum? I would like to hear more from conservatives in this forum. I think it would spice things up a little bit. I curious to know how liberals have messed up this country. |

| Yes I figured that out by the statement of "Why I created the forum", but we seem to be getting alot of liberal points of view. I would like to hear more from the conservative side. |

We're hoping to achieve a good mix of both conservatives and liberals with some thought-provoking discussion. I don't want this to turn into a board for flame wars
If you feel that the board is lacking on one side or the other, spread the word! We can't do it without your help.

| I like this forum and the idea, it would be interesting to bring out the conservatives and their view, but I don't think you may get them to start arguments around these parts. But good luck, I'll tel them when I see them! |

Conservatives are not hiding in this forum. I am a conservative. But I stand back and let people make their arguements. But if it is politcs, I will discuss. But i dislike having someones point of view shoved down my throat because I am not swayed to their point of view. I am opened minded and try to see others point of view. It just gets impossible when they see conservatism as a crutch and evil.

Well, sometimes its pointless to label someone liberal or conservative. I know that the majority is either liberal or conservative. But there are some people who hold nuetral views meaning that half of their views are liberal and half others are conservative.
But I think wherever you're brought up, you're doomed to lean towards that side. It's very hard to be surrounded by liberals and be a conservative. |

Xterminator45 gets my vote!
Media like to pigeonhole people into categories but reality is more complex than that. I personally hold many conservative philosophies as well as liberal ones.
The problem with the conservative side is that by nature it rebukes change and therefore is not very amenable to debate that may lead to uneasy change. Conservatives state their opinions and say this is where I stand whereas Liberals may throw out their opinions and leave them open for discussion.
I'm afraid that if you intend to have a board of open discussion then you will not attract many conservatives. |

Don't you think that the views of many political parties now appear to have become blurred, despite their manifestos?
We have the conservatives, labour and liberals as our main parties, but you can't really spot the difference between them anymore.
It's why labour and Bliar have been in power for so long, no one party or person stands out enough to collect meaningful numbers of votes. |

| I don't think youth is informed or as passionate about politics as before. The first generation isn't doing so well about passing the torch.. |
