There has been lots of issues about religion.

In our public schools, they don't teach the Catholic religion (the most popular religion in our country) but they do teach Values Education.

I think this is just alright. I have known of many people who claim that they don't have any religion yet they are good. Values education, moral ethics, morality lessons are as good as religion. It is just a matter of lining up. Spirituality is another thing that we can't integrate with Values Education but more or less it is also there.

I believe that people who don?t have religion doesn?t mean that they are bad people. They also have a good heart. It is only a matter of doing things rightly which they believe it is good for themselves and to the society.

In our province, catholic religion has been teached, though it is not a part of the curriculum, but they still allocate 30 minutes for the children to learn.

I think that values education violates the separation of Church and State. "Values" is just another term for "religious beliefs". That's fine to teach, but not in public schools.
