Just curious. I thought that was the symbol for the GOP.

The history of the elephant in the GOP is based upon a powerful, big, tough, fast, aggressive -- or everything an elephant is. That my friend is a symbol of the past.

Today's GOP is a racist, bigoted, corrupt, and religious hypocritical organization. Sadly, I think the elephant will probably become the same party that after Hoover went into obscurity for 50 years - we are at that point now ala the Shrub.

A good example of the elephant symbol is the University of Alabama Crimson Tide - they truly do represent the finest of the elephant characteristics - Roll Tide

As usual, this person's post has no basis in fact. It was both the northern & southern democrats who openly supported slavery before, during & after the civil war. It was the 1960s republicans who passed the 1964 Civil Acts against major democrat opposition....democrat = racism! It has been the democrats who have openly supported reverse discrimination based on race using "quotas" as their method...which is 100% unconstitutional. Democrats = racism!

Although the 1st amendment says that only CONGRESS cannot pass any law abriding religious freedom, it has been the liberal democrats who have gone beyond this single prohibition to use u.s. courts to stamp out the christian religion, exclusively. All other religions are O.K with the libs. Democrats = religious bigotry.

And, just because the democrats won a single off-year congressional election they stupidly believe they are back in power. Last week's Gallup poll shows democrats at 42% and republicans at 47% when asked which party can best lead this country.

Nothing Bestsash posts can be supported by facts or legitimate sources.
