Rid Ourselves Of Press Abuse

The liberal press and its outrageous abuses can be stopped without losing any of our freedom of expression or speech.

The 1st Amendment simply states that CONGRESS can make no law abridging freedom of the press. A constitutional amendemnt is another matter however.

First, lets note that both the Congress and the Supreme court has stepped in to restrict certain speech. For example, congress passed the 1918 Sedition Act which criminalized any scurrilous or abusive language against the Gov't. This Act was replaced by the Smith Act which criminalized any speech calling for the violent overthrow of any U.S...a protection from communism scum.

The Supreme Court ruled as recent as 1990 that speech that is proven blatantly false and done with malice is "libel."

A day doesn't go by when the lib media (in toto) doesn't lie outright (or deliberately by ommission) for the purpose of totally misrepresenting an event or to slander some person or group in order to promote the lib press
agenda, which is world socialism.

The founders never intended for the press to hide behind the 1st amendment protection in order to undermine this nation, its freedoms and its very foundation. The founders clearly wanted a Republic with a very small central gov't that is dedicated to defense and protection of our commerce. That is why you see the founders use the words DEFENSE... and under the Admiratly clause you see the words COAST and INLAND WATERWAYS and NAVY...and under COMMERCE you see the words regulate and free flow.

That's it!!! The founders created a small central gov't dedicated to defense, coastal defense and admiralty law and free flow of commerce, and the creation of the judiciary by the congress. Everything else belongs to the states. This is the way we keep our freedoms, our individual rights as promised in the first ten amendments to the Constitution.

Large central gov't is the historic killer of the above freedoms and it is the mainstream liberal press that advocates such a gov't 24/7. Through lies, deliberate misrepresentations and outright provable propaganda,
today's liberal mainstream media promotes freedom-killers such as large central gov't, more taxes, reduced private property rights, politically correct speech, open borders, revisionist history and support for any and all enemies we engage militarily.

One Constitutional amendment could put a stop to all of this. The amendment would be simple, short and sweet. It would require the media to print facts and truth or be subject to lawsuits from those they defame or try to ruin. For example, Dan Rather and CBS could have the hell sued out of them by George Bush for knowing using a bogus, alcoholic source and blatantly fake data to commit libel against a sitting president to change the outcome of an election. Gone would be the days that the N.Y. Times could splash political lies on their front page. All the liberal lying would have to be done in the editorial section and would still be subject the rule of facts and libel.

Press would still be free...but not able lie its ass off 24/7 with impunity. Lying would become a very costly venture for the lib mainstream press.
After a few crushing lawsuits, the lib press would get the message and the rest of us would benefit by actually seeing some facts or truth for a change instead lie-after-lie-after-lie. If libs don't want to print the truth then get the hell out of the press business!!!
