Sorry for answering to such an old question but I can tell some interesting things. I am from Romania and from the last counts there are more than 3 million people outside the country which are working. In USA there are more than 400.000 romanians. Most fo them are working for wages like 400-500$/week.. There are others which are working at big companies or they are owning shops restaurants,etc.

For USA the immigrants are a very good thing in my opinion.

Exactly, immigrants own the American jobs,mostly those that people dont think twice about, but when left unmanned everyone notices because of the political outbreaks that are caused from lack or stop of imigrant work force.

Are you calling "illegal aliens" immigrants???? They are NOT immigrants and they sure as hell don't own any aspect of the american economy or jobs as you claim.

If all illegals were deported tomorrow, all their jobs would be filled...make no mistake about that fact. We have a free market economy that will fill all those jobs in quick order. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar or illegal alien sympatheizer!!!

BTW, it's estimated that we have some 12 to 20 million illegals in this country. Many of them sit home on their collective asses living off our social systems. The size of our current work force in this country is around 150 million wokers...see the Bureau of Labor Statistics website. Some 12 million illegals DO NOT dictate what happens to a 150 million person work force nor do these scumbag illegals have any kind of hold on our economy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Americans are willing to pick them up the problem is the wage. Our minimum wage is ridiculous. Even doubling it is a slap in the face. Make $15 hr minimum wage because truthfully anything less is not enough to live on
