| In terms of your opinion, what is the most debated topic... religion or politics? I heard that people rather argue over religion than argue over if they're conservative or liberal. It's almost like their own religion on it's own. What are your opinions, what's worse in terms of controversy, religion or left wing/right wing discussions |

I think younger generations can speak much about politics rather then religion. Religion
( it could be any religion) is a medium which guides us to the right path, so if one masters his own religion he can speak about any other aspect in the world. |

i think its far more religion than politics. Young people dont give a dogs a$$ about politics and whos going to be president. Just look at the figures of young people who vote in this country, its very low. |

| Definitely religion IMO. Everyone believes their religion is "The One" and since its based on faith and love for their God and they take it to heart and will defend him, her, or it until the end no matter what. |

| I think religion, because when we are kids politics has a healthy effect on children. But children are least bothered about present politicians and politics. |

| For me, it is religion and religion is a universal thing. It is all over the world. Christians exist everywhere, so are some of the other religions. In politics, each country has different sets of political issues and most of the time, only the informed argue and debate about politics. |

| Religion. And I must add that Christianity, in its true form, is not a religion but rather a faith. Roman Catholics are Christians who hold to the Catholic belief system. I am a non-demoninational church going Christian. And when I say that, all I mean is I believe Christ is the Messiah, Living God and if it is not in the Bible, I don't believe it. |

| I have a real problem mixing religion and politics. It literally frightens me that a lot of folks have lost sight of the main reason the pilgrims migrated here from Europe - religious persecution. To say that this is one nation under God (a phrase not uttered or a condition not even remotely desired or envisioned by our forefathers) is to forget that this country was born out of a need for not only religious freedom, but freedom from any idea or ideology that forced people to adhere to it and nothing else. When you say "One nation under God", exactly who's God are you referring to? What about those Americans who practice Buddhism, for instance? Are they required to place themselves under our Judeo-Christian God? Should all Jewish folks suddenly kiss a copy of the New Testament? When you say "Religious Right" I think "Taliban." We cannot blur the lines between government and religion. If your version of God, and your majority, is all on your side, all debate and political discourse is irrelevant. Then your voice becomes the only voice and the rights of all the folks who don't believe as you do are gone. That, my friends, is what truly frightens me. |

| Right On, Darren! To many times, people forget the reason that the founding fathers traveled here. Good post, fine family fun! |
