America must leave Iraq

We have to understand the subtleties of Iraq war. The underlying reason is obviously oil. Bush knew very well that his reason for occupying Iraq was based on a big lie. He knew very well that there were no nuclear weapons in Iraq. But he created a big stink about the dangers of nuclear Iraq . The seeds of failure were sown with that lie. Now that there are no nukes in Iraq, Bush and his team have gone all quiet . The dead American soldiers cannot be brought back to life and more are dying by the day. The best course of action will be to call it all off and let Iraqis deal with the mess.

If we could, we would have left Iraq a long time back. Remember that the oil is still there. Saddam may be dead but our reason to occupy Iraq was to gain control of oil resources. Saddam was only a byproduct of the war, what we call collateral damage. Now that so many lives have been lost, we must ensure that we get to keep the oil. No point in leaving it for the tribals . WE must let the Sunni and Shia tribes fight it out while we watch from the sidelines. Soon every native will be dead . Then we can silently take over. We can kick the British off so that we get to own the entire oil wealth. I recommend patience and cunning ,both of which we are short of.

I agree. No point in spilling so much of blood and finally nothing to show for it. We might as well lay claim to the oil. But we must withdraw troops from Iraq. We must push UN to arrange for troops from India or Pakistan since this is an international issue. After that we can wait and watch. When all of them are dead, I mean the natives and the UN troops , which will happen soon, we can take over the oil. We must learn from the British, who deployed Gurkha mercenaries in Iraq and called them British troops. Bet not a single British soldier was there except for photo ops.
