Then you are wrong, it does not say do not "resist" it says do not commit to violence unless defending yourself, your family, or the greater good.
If the Jews had never "resisted" there would not have been Christianity.

If the Hebrews, and then Israelites later have been non resistant and passive as you keep stating, then Chrieen stianity would have never born.
Please read old testament and new one, and show me where it says do not resist or be passive. Beleive me unjust violence and cruel taken and simply the love of violence is quite different from what is taought in bible.
When Jesus was going to be taken by the roman gaurds, his deciples protected him, they even attaked a soldier. Christ stopped them and healed the soldier, but tht's becasue that fight was useless.
But all othr battles in Bible and Old and new testament were different.

Hugo Chavez? A tyrant? the man is a joke. He claims bush is Satan and preaches to his own gov and people about some self introduced religion he created out of christianity for his own needs.
The man is pathetic, and venezuela is no threat to anyone, and he doesnt hold it in a communist regime.

well i would have to say that that was alittle harsh considering that most people come on to a forum to listen learn and debate and that is what happened. so i am glad for him if he learned something. and i would think that you would be alittle proud of yourself because you were the one that taught him. about war. It will always be there and i think that it is not that we need it it is that we will never be able to get rid of it so you might as well get used to it. And to say that war hurts the economy ww2 was what got us out of the depression. in the long run i am sure that it can start to hurt the economy but that goes hand in hand with how many people suport the war. if no one like the war then it will not make any money but that is one thing war can do is make money. it is kind of sad but it is the truth.
