Wars are good! Wars are what brought us the freedoms we enjoy today and the constitutional protection of individual rights.

Wars are good. Wars remove dictators and tyrants from power and prevent one nation enslaving another nation.

The issues of war or peace, freedom or enslavement are always solved on the battlefied. There's not a single example in human history of a dictator or tyrant willingly stepping down from power because some slick-talkin' diplomat or feel-good peacenick talked them out of power.

Ego-inflated diplomats show up at the table to discuss peace only after the issue of peace or war has already been determined on the battlefield.
Diplomats bring peace to no one! Diplomats cannot keep the peace.

Only a well-trained, well-equipped kickass militiary can bring peace and keep peace. Jaw jackers(liberals) lose peace.

Without war...none of us would have our freedoms or this standard of living. The peace-at-any-cost crowd are the killers of freedom and they will cost you your freedom in a heartbeat. Cindy Sheehan and her insane crowd are good examples people who would stupidly cost this nation its freedoms & protected rights.

Wars are also a good means of population control, what with all the advances in medicine allowing people to live longer. We should go to war and try to take over every other country in the world! We could call ourselves Rome! We could make it so every person has blond hair and blue eyes! Then in 1200 years, we could lose everything and let someone else be a superpower!

can you sense a faint flavor of sarcasm? Good. Confused

Yep...I see you sarcasm...no problem. However, let me ask you one question...name one foreign country that the U.S. has ever militarily conquered to occupy as our own, to keep as our own, to colonize as our own?

Now...another question...name one country that Iraq, Communist Russia, Commmunist China, Communist North Korea, Communist North Vietnam, Britian, France, Spain, Portugal, India or Japan conquered militarily to occupy and colonize.

If you don't know the answers what you will find if you take time to look it up is that this great country(the only remaining super power on the planet)
has not used its power to conquer and control other peoples. It always amazes me when I see some totally ignorant liberals(not you) claim that the U.S. is out of control and that we plan to conquer other nations.
Puerto Rico, for example, is a U.S. Territory and wants to become a U.S. state and America doesn't want them. No one wants a 51st state, period!

Yeah...both those countries were invaded from the north by communists. In both cases, the U.S. and UN forces were used to repel the communist invasion.

Last time I checked, Hawaii voted freely to become our 50th state. Frankly, I wish the congress would have rejected their application for statehood. Realistically, they have no businenss being a U.S. state...let them go back to their failed culture.

What I am getting at is:
Would you passively accept having your country divided in half tommorrow by a foreign power?

After WWII a lot of countries were carved up. For example, in the case of Korea, the soviet communist claimed north korea. Countries have been carved up for centuries due to war.

The point that was under discussion was to name one country that the U.S. militarily conquered (as in hegemony) for the purpose exercising total control as an imperalist nation. The correct answer is NONE.

You offered two absurd examples Korea & Nam where the peacful southern republics of both countries were literally invaded by communist forces backed, supported & trained by the soviet empire for the express purpose of spreading communism around the world.

It had nothing to do with peoples split by boundaries yearning to live together as you try to portray. That's pure 1960s liberal propaganda and it doesn't play anymore in America. In both countries, the people living in peace and prospering were those populations backed & supported by the U.S. and UN forces. The people living in poverty and suffering under a police state mentality were those poor slobs subjected to the rule of your good buddies, the communists. Trying to claim that U.S. & UN support for the peaceful southern republics of korea/NAM as an example of U.S. military impearlist takovers of other nations is beyond outrageous!!!

Might want to revist what your north korean commie brethren have been doing to that population for the past 30 years...deliberate starvation programs...hording U.S. food & grain deliveries for the military & their bold leader while thousands die from starvation yearly. Gotta keep them commies fed & healthy...never know when they might have to invade the South again to rape, pillage and do all those other neat commie things that liberals refuse to talk about.

Keep supporting communism...you're showing your hand.

War with phisical battles solve nothing. Are you a Christian? I am going to assume so based off of your strong conservative Republican beleifs. If you are a Christian, then is war good? Remember the Sermon on the Mount that said that any resistence was bad? Even if you follow St. Augustine (and no I am not Catholic) then your broad call for war does not fit the requirements for a jsut war. Also, if war solves everything, the US will be gone soon if Australia or China decide that the US is bad for them and that war solves all problems.

Really...if it were not for war you wouldn't be living in the most free, most powerful nation on earth nor would you be able to enjoy the freedom of speech that allows you to come to this site and post your thoughts. Every hear of the "Revoluntionary War??? That war gave you the U.S Constitution which guarantees your individual rights and liberties. Ever hear of WWI and WWII??? Ever hear of the Civil War???? 13 yearolds do not know their history, have no life experience from which to understand history and should not try to act as though they do.

My religion has nothing to do with this topic or the fact that I said war was good from the standpoint of removing dictators and protecting our freedoms.

Don't presume to quote the Bible to me....I've read it cover-to-cover many times and the Sermon on the Mount did not say 'resistance is bad."

This is why you should not comment on historical matters. Australia and China are as different as day is to night. Your idea about China and Australia making war on the U.S. is beyond laughable. China is a brutal communist dictatorhsip with no human rights, etc. China represents the most major threat to this country in the 21st century. Australia is a democratic republic with human rights and is one of our strongest allies.
Your statement about china & australia attacking this country shows your complete ignorance of history. This is why I say 13 yearolds (YOU) should not present yourselves as authorities on anything, period!

I did not say that they would. I said if either of them chose to. It is incredibly unlikely, however. Christ, on the Sermon on the Mount expressly forbade any and all violence. I am simply saying that anymore. I should not have been so broad because it does in some instances. Not, however, in all. Also, you should not right off someone's statemnent because of their age.

I know...in either case your statement was incredibly stupid.

Quote:

No...He did not! He gave a message of peace and salvation. He did not expressly forbid violence because as God he knew mankind must commit violence in order to survive in this fallen world. Learn your Bible!

I believe the youth of today have been spoiled, coddled and overindulged by this sick culture we live in. Thirteen yearolds of just a generation ago would not presume to come into the adult arena and preach history and world affairs to adults with many years of life experience and education over them. Thirteen yearolds would have asked questions and tried to learn...not run their mouths about something they couldn't possibly know anything about. So don't ask me to cut you some slack because of your age when you make totally asinine statements. If you want to learn some facts or get tuned in to some legitimate sources to help you understand your own country, it's history and its place in the world then LISTEN!!!

How do you think dictators, slavery, tyranny,.etc ever flourished or grew and why did they have power??
Because of wars that established a dictatorship, slavery, tyranny,. etc.So you think people willingly submitt themselves to dictatorship, slavery and tyranny? A number of things have to be done for this to happen: First no nation will willingly submit itself to any of the above, thus there has to be a war to conquer them against their will, thats why its called dictatorship, slavery, tyrrany, etc.,
Second to remain in power or to continue to flourish one must control that nation which is subject to the above. How do you do that? Fear. Hhow does one generate fear in the hearts of a nation(s),
WAR.
War.War.War.
Be it a small one, a large one, no matter war is war.
No, war is not an answer(and no im not a treehugging peace lover, i m obssesed with war and all aspects of it) to a problem, besides all the deaths, etc., it is a major economical drain.

Your misinerperpit the Bible, it does not say do not resist, and when it says turn the other cheek for example, it does not mean something like watch your family get murdered and do nothing to stop it if you can, before you start making more such mistakes i suggest you study the bible in the orthodox religion, being the earliest christian church, and one that kept its original and founding roots and all of that, there are many religius forums, simply find an orthodox one with real educated people, not christian fanatics that convert people by promising free doughtnuts on fridays.

Yes the sad truth. The youth of today are a degradation, and if they are our future, then what will happen to mankind?

I have studied the Bible and poured over the texts of numerous branches of Christianity and different people on the Bible. What I have found was that Christ wanted no resistence except in cases of crimes against humanity and this was because people, being human, react stupidly when they are angry.
