You have a very uninformed view of what the UN is. First, the UN cannot delcare war on anyone. The UN has no soverignty of its own. The UN is nothing but a collection of misfit, 3rd-world countries who exist as blooodsuckers off the few, advanced civilized nations that exist.

The U.S. alone funds some 30% of the UN's budget. Militarily, the UN is a joke. The only time the UN has been in the lime-light of recognition where war making is concerned is when powerhouse nations like the U.S., Brits, etc actually did all the fighting. The UN is nothing but a collection of leftist gasbags.

Im sorry i expressed myself incorrectly, waht i wanted to say is that Eroupean countries aswell as other influencial countries would not want middle eastern countries running around with nukes.

You have stated before that i have no idea what the UN is, if the information about UN above is not legit or not completely correct, or my use of it in privious posts make no sence please point it out to me and simply explain. Im only 14years old and you can imagine that getting things right or learning from friends is not easy, since im pretty much the only one of all the people i know tht are my age who bothers doing this.

That Iran and Syria began flooding the iraq with terrorists and arms to create an insurgency is another matter entirely.

I'll tell what's strange....that I have posted at least a dozen times on this website that I can't stand Geroge Bush and that I am not a republican and then a dumbass like you comes accusing me of supporting Bush no matter what he does...liberal stupidly on display. Secondly, there's not a single example in history where a freely elected gov't(iraqi's) who asks another country to come/stay on their soil as an occupier. Wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The original mission that Bush said was accomplished was not(and is not) determined by how long our troops stay in iraq. The mission was to remove Saddam and his regime and we did that. Then, as a result of foreign intervention, a new mission fell to us to help stop foreign terrorist(including al qeada) from turning Iraq into an islamic theocracy like Iran. What f--king part of this reality don't you get...what part of your little mind can't absorb this glaring reality???????????????

Mission accomplished would mean our troops are coming home....don't you understand the gravity of the situation? If my memory serves me right this all started after 9/11 and I don't believe that Bin Laden is in Iraq! Dumbya' just took our focus off the real enemy of the U.S......Why because he is friends with the Bin Laden family!

It very clear that you do not understand WHAT the UN is, it's minimal authority; how it is constituted. Go read the UN Charter. It is nothing more than an organization of nations who freely chose (or not chose) to abide by the edicts of that body. NO nation on this planet has to obey ANY UN Resolution, period. Most all the communist nations routinely thumb their noses at UN Resolutions. Right now Iran is openly telling the UN to go screw itself. The only reason this country wastes its time seeking UN aproval on matters of war is for political niceties...nothing more...same with other countries. From a political standpoint, it would be nice to have the UN support you when getting ready to wage war BUT IT IS NOT AT ALL NECESSARY, LEGALLY OR MORALLY. The only authority this nation answers to on questions of war is the U.S. Constitution, which clearly says that only the President can conduct war and only the congress approve and fund wars. The goddamn UN has NO authority over this nation on any issue, period! We answer to the Constitution...not a bunch of america-hatin 3rd-world socialists who happen to have a membership cards from the UN.

George Bush went before the UN to get their approval. The do-nothing UN issued 17 useless Resolutions condemning Iraq and in their final Resolution
gave their blessing for war against Iraq IF it continued to violate the '91 Cease Fire Agt and continued to thward UN inspectors looking for WMDS.
Well...Iraq DID continue to do those things...so we kicked their ass.

Well...you just proved that we ARE NOT an occupying force. We don't have possession of anything in Iraq. We own nothing in Iraq and we control nothing in Iraq. We are there only at the wishes of the Iraqi gov't who could kick us out tomorrow. Geroge Bush has already told the american people that if the iraqis told us to leave we would withdraw immediately.
All of our military missions against the terrorists/insurgrents are subject to the approval of the iraqi gov't. As a matter of fact, the iraqi gov't has prevented us from conducting certain kinds of missions...read a newspaper. When a country is an occupying force, it does not answer to any authority. We operate only because the iraqi gov't allows it....what f--king part of this reality escapes you?????????????
