It was Neil Armstrong. And, even though the moon landing was a crowning achievement in US history, we never sent another manned mission to the moon. Go figure.

I think its time to go to other planets- I know atmosphere issues and all of that but with our technology, you'd think we could go somewhere!!

The space program has basically been super gutted. It just is not a priority like it was in the 1960's.
